Lucy & Queen Mary 2

The last cruise ship of Lucy’s season, the Queen Mary 2 visited Liverpool on 15th September. As the largest ocean liner to visit the Port of Liverpool, Queen Mary 2 pulls a large crowd, while this is great, it means we can’t get close enough to get a good photo! However somebody else down the waterfront did manage to take a photo of Lucy, so if thats you send it across!

The Queen Mary 2 is operated by Cunard Line, along with her fleet mates Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria. Crociere.co.uk managed to visit the Queen Mary 2 just after her naming (there is a blog here)

The final cruise ship calling for 2011 was TUI Cruises Mein Schiff 2. However Lucy had a busy schedule that day was unable to make it.

Lucy was down the Pier Head today, and met her first Queen. However Lucy was getting fed up of this not being allowed onboard, so decided to sit down just next to the bow in protest, or it might be because lots of people were stroking her!

This was the first time Queen Elizabeth has visited Liverpool and she will be returning many times next year. Check www.liverpoolcruisecompany.co.uk for more details.

She will be in to see Queen Mary 2 in Liverpool next week, now she already knows that Cunard have a ‘doggy deck’ on the QM2 so she is expecting some dog biscuits and one of those nice Cunard QM2 dog coats! (You can read a great article on the QM2’s Kennels here)

On the 28th July 2011 Crystal Serenity called into Liverpool, So Lucy again went down to visit, she was denied access again! But its okay she took her own water this time.

Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Sea’s was in Liverpool on 16th June 2011, Lucy went down to check what it was about! Welcome to Lucy’s blog. Lucy visits some of the cruise ships calling into Liverpool, She’s not allowed on board however as she enjoys swimming in the canal and because of this stinks.

Her favourite things are: Cruise Ships, Sausages, Mini-Weetabix, Walks, Plastic Bottles saved from the canal and being stroked.

She dislikes: Rain, Fruit and Vegetables, being brushed, the hose and thunder.

Lucy is 12 years old, and is mans best friend! 🙂
